Weekly New Cybersecurity Solutions Review (July 24– July 30)

Let’s take a look at a brief overview of new cybersecurity solutions from last week. In the spotlight: Menlo Security, Cyborg Security, DELL, Oracle Cloud, Baffle, Citrix.

Menlo Security has unveiled its state-of-the-art threat prevention system, dubbed HEAT Shield and HEAT Visibility. This advanced suite, meticulously engineered to intercept and thwart elusive threats approaching via the web browser, aims to fortify the digital barriers of businesses. A cutting-edge feature of Menlo Security’s HEAT Shield is its superior detection and immediate nullification of phishing attacks, fortifying the corporate network against infiltrations even before they happen.

Cyborg Security has integrated a REST API into its HUNTER Platform, a move poised to turbocharge organizational threat hunting prowess. This strategic feature will automate essential procedures and workflows, thereby boosting the effectiveness of threat hunting teams. By streamlining research and discovery phases, the REST API integration will radically shrink time-to-hunt, boosting the agility of digital defense.

DELL has unveiled an array of solutions to aid clients in securely crafting generative AI (GenAI) models in-house. This move aims to expedite better outcomes and foster new levels of intelligence. The new Dell Generative AI Solutions—further expanding on the May Project Helix announcement—encompasses IT infrastructure, PCs, and professional services. This extensive package intends to ease the adoption of GenAI with large language models (LLM), meeting organizations at their respective stages in the GenAI journey.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) has launched a novel Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) specifically designed for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). This strategic solution utilizes a framework of cloud-native services to make cloud adoption and security compliance for critical workloads more cost-effective, efficient, and accessible.

Baffle has launched its Baffle Data Protection Services with Advanced Encryption. This privacy-enhanced technology solution empowers analytical and operational computations on safeguarded, regulated data. With its no-code, data-centric software, Baffle provides robust data protection without the need for specialized hardware, establishing itself as the most pragmatic approach to confidential computing.

Citrix has announced its expansion of cloud and on-premises solutions for a hybrid world. This expansion unites Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) offerings under the comprehensive Citrix Universal subscription. Among the offerings is the recently released Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 2305, which adds to the host of innovative features Citrix has unveiled this year.
